How can we help?
The spiritual part of someone's life can support recovery and be a comfort and strength in times of stress and
anxiety. Enabling people to draw on this spirituality can be a key part of helping someone towards better well-being.
We aim to work in an inclusive, responsive and affirming way with each person we meet, respecting the uniqueness
of each individual and their beliefs and values.
Spiritual Care can be many things, so as chaplains we might be:
- Helping people explore their spiritual journey
- Enabling people to practice their particular faith or spiritual tradition
- Managing prayer space and spiritual and faith resources
- Helping staff and patients to celebrate cultural and faith festivals.
- Supporting individuals and through group work
- Managing prayer space and spiritual and faith resources
We have rooms for prayer and reflection on each main hospital site.
