The Reflexions team at Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust are inviting Dudley and Wolverhampton residents to take part in a series of free craft workshops designed to promote mental wellbeing and self-care for children and young people across the borough.
Taking place during half-term, in the third week of February, these bespoke workshops will allow children to learn different ways to help them consider how to be caring towards themselves. Whilst encouraging creativity, relaxation, and positive mental health through hands-on activities and craft.
Children will be able to:
- Understand that being kind to their mind can be achieved in different ways
- To consider what activities help them to be involved in self-care
- To challenge unhelpful thoughts
- To develop positive affirmations and be able to apply them in practice
- Take part in a variety of crafting activities designed for parents and children to collaboratively explore ways children can practice kindness towards themselves and others.
- Take part of a range of creative activities designed to help teens to explore their artistic side while discovering meaningful ways to show kindness and compassion to themselves and others.
The workshops, themed “Love Yourself and Be Kind to Your Mind,” and “The Art of Self Compassion” will be held as follows:
