Wolverhampton Sanctuary Hub open afternoon (002).pdf.pngBlack Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and Rethink Mental Illness are delighted to announce an open afternoon event taking place on Monday 30 September at Wolverhampton Sanctuary Hub located at 84 Salop Street.

This event aims to offer the local community a chance to explore the services provided and understand the crucial mental health support available. Attendees will also be given the chance to meet the dedicated team delivering the service and hear more about the support and activities provided at the site.

The Sanctuary Hub provides a safe and welcoming space for those experiencing mental health difficulties, offering both immediate support and longer-term solutions.

Marcus Law, Senior Commissioner at Black Country Healthcare said, “The Wolverhampton Sanctuary Hub provides a vital lifeline for individuals experiencing a mental health crisis that are in need of face to face support out of usual mental health service hours.

“Our teams at Black Country Healthcare and Rethink are dedicated to offering support in a safe, compassionate environment, ensuring that no one has to face their struggles alone. The Sanctuary Hubs can provide emotional support to those in distress, in need of reassurance or at times when people need to be listened to most.

“No referral is required to access the service but individuals must be aged 18+ and have live in or be registered with a GP in the Black Country.

“We encourage those in the community to join us as we work together to break the stigma surrounding mental illness and provide essential support to the Wolverhampton community.”

Lindsey Gooding, Head of Area for Rethink Mental Illness said, “The Wolverhampton Sanctuary Hub is committed to offering free and confidential support to those who need it most. This open afternoon is a great opportunity for the community to learn more about the vital work being done and how to access mental health services in times of crisis or ongoing need.”
