We are delighted to announce that our Chief Nursing Officer, Dean Howells has been made an honorary professor at the University of Wolverhampton’s Faculty of Education Health and Wellbeing.
Dean’s appointment will continue to strengthen our partnership and joint working with the university, to ensure that nurse education at both undergraduate and post-graduation level continues to be recognised and celebrated.
Dean commented: “It is a pleasure to be working collaboratively with the University of Wolverhampton, who provide fantastic nurse education across the Black Country. As chief nurse of the Trust, it is crucial that we continue to enjoy a close partnership with the university which will enable us work effectively together to improve wellbeing across the communities we serve.”
Dr Sharon Arkell, Director of the Institute of Health at the University of Wolverhampton said: “The Faculty is delighted that Dean has been appointed as an honorary professor. We work closely with the Trust who provide exceptional student nurse placements and we look forward to working in partnership to identify opportunities for workforce development, research and enhanced employability.”
