The SHE Awards celebrate excellence across industries. Fauzia was selected from over 1,000 nominations. These awards are set for International Women’s Day in 2025.
Fauzia has been aiming to make the psychology profession more inclusive by raising awareness through sharing her experiences as someone from an underrepresented background. She uses writing, speaking engagements, and her ‘Fauzia Khan Interviews…’ series to highlight the importance of diversity in the profession. This is with the view of making the profession more inclusive. A more inclusive workforce better serves patients by understanding their needs and improving outcomes.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, she co-developed a wellbeing workshop initiative for staff. More recently, she co-created the ‘Unlock Your Strengths Positive Psychology Workshop’ with Principal Clinical Psychologist Dr Kam Kahlwan. The workshops were well received by multidisciplinary staff.
Fauzia’s work shows how diversity and staff wellbeing can improve care for patients and make healthcare fairer for everyone.
